Nancy Ann Kerrigan (born October 13, 1969) is an American former figure skater. She won bronze medals at the 1991 World Championships and 1992 Winter Olympics, and a silver medal at the 1992 World Championships, before becoming the 1993 US National Champion. In January 1994, Kerrigan was attacked with a police baton by an assailant hired by the ex-husband of her rival Tonya Harding, but she recovered to win a silver medal at the 1994 Winter Olympics (wikipedia)
